Happy Tails
Brutus was rescued from Portage County kennel's euth list. He was surrendered to the kennel and was scared and confused. He landed there at no fault of his own...simply a domestic dispute that had nothing to do with him. This gorgeous mastiff mix boy is about 2 years old. Brutus loves to walk, run, and play. He enjoys being outside and even likes being inside as long as he has something to do. This guy really loves playing with his toys and chewing on bones. He craves affection and someone to spend time with him. he would benefit from a companion and needs to be stimulated and active. Brutus is a curious dog who is quite social. He is very curious and highly intelligent but it may take another dog or owner to bring out the best in him. He takes a bit to warm up with people and he would do best in an adult home or with older kids. He is housebroken. This 2 year old, mastiff mix guy really craves an active, loving home with a family that will invest some time in play and training.
This little lady is new to our rescue. Stella is great with other dogs and she is good with cats!!! She loves kids and just wants to be around people. She loves to sleep under covers and she doesn't mind a crate. She is a lover! Stella will be spayed before adoption and will be up to date on shots as well. We believe she is a minature pinscher terrier mix. She's a great girl and will be looking for her forever home soon.
"Bucket Dog Slim" If you have seen the viral video of Slim, the dog with the bucket as his only toy, we have an update for you. We are happy to announce that he have taken Slim into our rescue. If you'd like to contribute to Slim's rehabilitation and training needs, all donations are greatly appreciated. Our paypal email address is: [email protected].
Slim was rescued last December after being found starving and scared inside an abandoned house. Since then, the 4-year-old pit bull mix has been held in a kennel at the Ashland County Dog Shelter in Ohio, eagerly awaiting someone to come by and adopt him. "He is anxious in the shelter and has destroyed most of the toys he's been given. But his favorite toy is his Bucket!!!" writes the group Rescue Me Ohio on Facebook. "He loves his bucket and is lost without it!!"

ADOPTED JANUARY 2015! Melinda was rescued from the Trumbull county pound and the euth list due to space restrictions. She is looking for a forever home with a fenced in yard to romp and play ball in. She is a friendly, fun, energetic girl who is sure to put a smile on your face DAILY! She is very smart. Loves water! She is great with kids. She may be dog selective. Please fill out an application if interested. http://forgetmenotanimalrescue.weebly.com/adopt-or-foster.html $175
This guy is 9 months old and a Jack Russell mix. He is super sweet, a bit shy and will curl up and sleep with you without a problem. He hasn't had an accident yet! What an amazing little guy! Can you say adorable? This little guy was rescued from a shelter for a couple who then decided they didn't want him after all. Crazy right?!!! This guy is so cute we can't stand it. So their loss is someone else's love match.
Rose/Faith is now known as Zoey! She was adopted in November. She is a Shepherd / Hound mix that was pulled from Cleveland Animal Care by county and that we then pulled. She is about 2 years, 9 months old. She used to be someone's dog! At some point someone loved her. How do I know? She is TOO housebroken! This poor girl is so clean and polite that she would not go potty in her cage even if it takes days for her to get outside! Well that is over! She gets to go out a lot now. She loves toys - especially squeaky ones. She knows sit, and takes treats nicely. She can self entertain and she met two small kids and was great with them. Rose has the perfect family to love her and include her in their adventures.
Sully is a four-year-old male Belgian Sheepdog mix. He is neutered and up-to-date on shots. He is also housebroken, crate trained and smiles! Did we forget to mention STUNNING? We took him in, in a hurry, because Sully's owner had to give him up due to the landlord instituting a no pet policy with a very short timeline. He would have been PTS otherwise, because they didn't have anywhere to place him. He will need slower introductions to other dogs as he is initially fearful and growls. He has never bitten any dog or person. Adoption Fee $175
Gunner was found wandering the streets in Cleveland. He had been alone for quite some time and was in need of care and attention. He is now available and in a foster home. Guessing he is about a year old and still growing. Gunner is praying for a his forever home soon! He is good with other dogs, preferably larger since he doesn't realize how big he is. Possible Mastiff/Hound mix. Adopted 2/19/16
Petey is a Border Collie/Husky mix Petey was an ownder surrender who could no longer keep. Petey lived most of his 4.5 years of life crated or in a bathroom! You would never know it!! He is awesome with dogs and cats of any size, great with kids; does well on a leash, UTD and neutered. Please fill out an application if interested. http://forgetmenotanimalrescue.weebly.com/adopt-or-foster.html $175

Abbey is a 4.5 yr old Australian Cattle Dog. Abbey was an owner surrender and "sister" of Petey (since adopted). She lived most of her 4.5 yrs of life crated or in a bathroom but you wouldn't know it! She is great with most dogs, preferably male and good with cats. We aren't sure about kids. She is a herding breed so she likes to have a job to do. She likes to fetch a ball and cuddle and loves to be off leash in a secure yard. Abbey does show insecurity around males so a female owner will most likely be best for her.
Jameson is a 1 yr old Doxie mix. He has been adopted by his foster mom! He's only a year but have some particular needs. He needs a home with someone able to give him time/energy/consistency with his training. He is smart, stubborn, and has a lot of energy. Other times he can be a cuddle bug. He would also do better with an adult only home and no cats. He gets along well with big dogs (as long as the big dog is patient) but does NOT like little dogs.
ADOPTED JANUARY 2016
Gloria is an smart, fun girl who loves to have a job. She excels at playing fetch, picks up on new commands quickly and would make an excellent service dog. She's a boxer/retriever mix that came to us from the Cleveland Kennel. Gloria is up to date on shots, spayed and about 2 1/2 years old. She does need to be in a home without cats and would do best in a home with older kids. Please apply to adopt this gorgeous girl.
Meet Dani. This girl was left behind by her previous owners. Abandoned outside and left to her own devices. A kind neighbor took her in but cannot keep her. Dani is young. We think she is about 2 years old. She has had a litter before and is not fixed yet. She has all her claws but is very gentle and doesn't use them. This girl LOVES to play and prefers to be in the company of people. Give her string and she will happily play for hours. This beauty seems to be ok with other cats and doesn't seem to be afraid of dogs. She is really good with kids and just loves attention. $75
